Alpaca wool is known for its hypoallergenic qualities; hence the yarn is a great alternative for people who are sensitive to mohair but still want a fluffy yarn. Alpaca fiber is airy, and due to its hallo, it is generally warmer than wool. It also provides a nice drape to the final fabric.

This makes it not only an eco-friendly yanr but also a budget-friendly one. Only 4-5 skeins are enough for an airy female sweater in size M. For a denser sweater, you can hold the yarn double. In this case, 8-9 skeins are enough for a sweater in size M.
